When booking your accommodation a $200 non-refundable deposit is payable at the time of booking to confirm your stay.
Check in time is from 3:00pm.
However in a small number of instances, particularly at the busiest times of the year like School Holidays, Christmas and Easter, it may be impossible for us to check in all guests at 3:00pm and we ask for your understanding and patience during these times while cleaners complete all properties. We will always do our best to limit any inconvenience to our guests.

You are welcome to store luggage at the Best of Magnetic office from 9am while waiting for your property to be ready for check in.
Check out is 10am.
If you have not departed by 10am on the day of departure on your reservation, we reserve the right to pack and remove your belongings to allow the cleaning and preparation of your unit for the next guests. We take no responsibility for any loss or damage to your belongings once removed. Please check your departure date on your reservation email after booking.
The Best of Magnetic office is open between 9am – 5pm and has space for luggage storage. Unfortunately we do not offer cold food storage.
Our office is open from 9am – 5pm daily and conveniently located directly across the car park at the front of the Nelly Bay ferry terminal on Magnetic Island. All guests travelling on the Sealink passenger ferry or Magnetic Island Ferries car ferry should attend the Best of Magnetic real estate office to complete their check in. If you are arriving after hours please contact our office to discuss our after hours key collection procedure.
Guests are responsible for their own transport on the day of departure. There is a public bus service and Taxi service that operate on Magnetic Island.
Unfortunately we do not have the capacity to store or keep any food items for guests prior to your check-in time. We suggest buying your groceries locally once you arrive or, if you choose an internet grocery service, make sure you arrange delivery for the day following your arrival. If any delivery is attempted prior to your check in the items will be rejected and returned.
The IGA at the Magnetic Island harbour is open 6.30am to 8.30pm 7 days a week.
There is also a Foodworks in Nelly Bay on Sooning Street open 7am – 7pm daily.

Sealink passenger ferry departs from the Breakwater Ferry Terminal and offer the fastest service to the Island, with up to 17 services daily taking only 25 minutes. The Magnetic Island Ferries Car Ferry allows you the flexibility to bring your vehicle or travel as a walk-on passenger with 7 regular return services departing daily from Ross Street, South Townsville taking only 45-minutes. Parking is available at all ferry terminals.
Magnetic Island is steeped in history. When Captain Cook had passed the island on his voyage in June 1770 he reported that it had a magnetic effect on the ship’s compass. He then dubbed it ‘Magnetical Island or Headland’ in his journal. He dictated that the compass “‘would not travis well when near it”.
